History, Mission, Vision

Totier Creek Watershed Association is a grassroots organization of farmers, land stewards, rural folks, and environmental advocates. TCWA was founded in 2024 by citizens concerned about industrial activities in our watershed.

We are focused on reducing and preventing stream pollution, groundwater contamination, and harmful practices that diminish the quality of life in our community.

Our mission is to safeguard and enhance the natural resources and quality of life within the Totier Creek watershed, a vital public drinking water supply for Scottsville, Virginia, and a tributary to the James River and Chesapeake Bay. We’re committed to preserving and restoring surface waters, wetlands, and groundwater resources; plant, animal, and aquatic life; and scenic, historic, and cultural resources within our watershed.
